Welcome to The Dog Training Co. By accessing this website, making a booking, or participating in our dog-training services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before engaging our services.

We may update these Terms at any time. Any changes take effect immediately upon being posted on this website.

1. Our Services

We provide dog-training services, including private sessions, behaviour consultations, group classes, training programs, and digital learning materials.

All services, prices, schedules, website content, and offerings may be changed, updated, or discontinued at any time without notice.

We use evidence-based, humane training methods and strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for every dog. However, we do not guarantee specific results. Training outcomes depend on many factors, including your dog’s temperament, environment, and your consistency in following training advice.

2. Pricing & Payment

• All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking for all packages, programs, and gift vouchers.
• For single, ad-hoc sessions, payment must be made before or on the day of the session.
• Payments for packages or programs are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
• Prepaid packages and programs must be used within 12 months of purchase. Any unused sessions after this period are forfeited.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

Fees & Conditions:

• Cancellations or rescheduling within 48 hours incur a fee of 50% of the session price.
• No-shows are charged at the full session rate.
• Program or package sessions missed without appropriate notice are forfeited.

Trainer-Cancelled Sessions

In rare circumstances, we may cancel or reschedule a session due to:

• extreme weather
• illness
• emergencies
• safety concerns
• unforeseen circumstances

If we cancel a session, you will not be charged, and your session will be rebooked at no additional cost.

4. Client Responsibilities

By booking with The Dog Training Co, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information about your dog’s behaviour and medical history.
• Ensure your dog is up to date with all vaccinations required for your service type.
• Follow training instructions for the safety of your dog, yourself, and others.
• Keep your dog under effective control before, during, and after sessions.
• Acknowledge that your dog’s behaviour cannot be fully predicted at all times.

You are solely responsible for any injury, damage, or loss caused by your dog at any time.

5. Acknowledgement of Risk & Liability Release

Dog training involves inherent risks. By participating in training with us, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You voluntarily engage in training at your own risk.
• You are responsible for supervising your dog at all times.
• You assume all risks associated with interacting with your dog, other dogs, people, or environments during training.
• You release The Dog Training Co, its trainers, contractors, and employees from all liability for injury, loss, claims, or damages arising from or related to training, except where such liability cannot be excluded under Australian law.

Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Intellectual Property

All content created, published, or distributed by The Dog Training Co—including but not limited to:

• website content
• training materials, guides, and handouts
• videos (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
• images, graphics, and logos
• branding and downloadable resources

is the property of The Dog Training Co and is protected under Australian copyright law.

You may:

• view or access content for personal, non-commercial use
• download resources for your own use where this is expressly permitted

You may not:

• reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display content for commercial purposes
• create derivative works without written permission
• misuse or interfere with our content in any way

7. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external websites or resources. We do not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites.

8. Privacy, Cookies & Data Use

We collect personal information for booking, communication, training services, and operational purposes.

Our website may use cookies and analytics tools to collect:

• IP addresses
• browser information
• site usage data

By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies unless you disable them in your browser settings.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except when required by law or necessary for business operations (e.g., booking platforms).

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be handled in accordance with Victorian law and, where necessary, the relevant Victorian courts or tribunals.
